BEAM was one of the first culture change coalitions in the country.
Executive Director Laura Ferrara writes:
BEAM started as a coalition through the efforts of many stakeholders including providers, regulators, and state agencies. Through the evolution of the coalition, BEAM was born as a 501(c)(3) and continues to operate as such.

BEAM is co-sponsoring and hosting an event very similar to the St. Louis Accord we attended in 2005. Our event is scheduled to occur January 11, 2006 and is referred to as the MI Accord
