This will need to be a main topic for a late June meeting.
1. We need a flyer that can be emailed as an attachment and also posted in homes, senior centers, churches, grocery stores, libraries, and anywhere else anyone can think of. The flyer will probably need to include:
all locations
conferences are free
donations will be accepted
reservations are required
contact info
reservation form
Bob will design the flyer and registration form
2. We need a list of currently available email and address lists for sending out the flyers. We’ll need each of the following for all MD, DC, and DE. Please let us know if you have access to any of these. Also, think of others that need to be included. I got, very quickly, a list of addresses for all MD nursing homes, assisted living facilities, medical day care centers, and nursing staffing agencies in Maryland. I also have a list of all senior centers in Maryland from the Dept. of Aging web site. Ombudsmen are also listed there. I’m assuming that the same can be obtained via a governmental web site for DC and for DE. There may be other lists of that sort that can be easily accessed. Please post any information you have on email/address lists here.
Here’s the current list:
3. Press Releases: Bob will write these
We need lists of newspapers in each area and contact information for them.
