I am working on a literature review regarding the pioneer network's approach to long term care. I am especially interested in the interaction between  family satisfaction and quality of care. Has a study been published on effective methods for implementing council meetings for family members and caregivers?

Family Councils in Culture Change (none / 0)

Wonderful question!  Thanks for posting it.  We in Maryland were asking the same question.  We found little or no literature available regarding efforts to bring families into these journeys as equal players.  We also found very few examples of successful attempts to include residents and families in a meaningful way.  As a result, we are in the process of collecting material on how this might happen and exploring ways to make it happen in Maryland.   You can see our current project under the Maryland Start-Up section.
